Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a skilled Database Administrator with 6-8 years of experience to join their team in Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore. As a PostgreSQL expert, you will play a crucial role in implementing high availability setups, handling replication, and managing database maintenance activities on Linux. Additionally, experience with database version upgrades, technology migration, backup/restore, and database refresh is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement replication and create high availability setups.
Install, configure, create clusters, and manage global objects on Linux.
Perform database version upgrades, technology migration, backup/restore, and database refresh.
Conduct maintenance activities like vacuum, repack, and re-index.
Preferred Skills:
Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix.
Proficiency in Shell scripting.
Familiarity with cloud platforms in relation to PostgreSQL.
